With the main object of catering educational needs in Information Technology and Computer Applications of the students of Rayalaseema in general and Kadapa District in particular, ‘Sri Ramakrishna Educational Society’ (Regd.No.330/94) was established in the year 1994 at D.No.7/290, ‘Panchavati’, Bhagyanagar, Kadapa - 516 002, A.P., Affliated to S. V. University, Tirupati.

The Society was sponsored an institute namely Sharada Post Graduate Institute of Research and Technological Sciences (SPIRTS), Kadapa in the academic year 1994-95 and offering 6 semesters MCA programme of Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati with effect from the academic year 1995-96 with the permission of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and approval of AICTE, New Delhi. This is the first college established in the district offering MCA programme.

‘S P I R T S’ at present is offering exclusively MCA programme of S.V.University since 1995-96 and the present intake of MCA course is 60 students per year. The college is having own premises at Dattapuri, Near Industrial Estate, RIMS Road, Kadapa – 516 004, A.P., which is just 3 Kms from RTC Bus stand and 2 Kms from Railway Station. It has excellent infrastructural facilities like well equipped Computer Lab, Class Rooms, well qualified Teaching Faculty, Non Teaching Faculty, very good Library, own transport facility etc.
